Patients
Genetic healthcare doesn’t start with a test. It starts with you.
At GSF, we’re here to help you sort through the wealth of information in this new age of genetics and get all the facts you need to make informed decisions about your health. GSF provides genetic counseling nationwide via secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing.
You can self-refer to meet with a GSF genetic counselor using the link below, or your healthcare provider can refer you to GSF. Please note that authorization from a qualified healthcare provider (such as a physician) may be required to order genetic testing, depending on your state.
Once we receive your referral, we will:
- Review your referral and reach out to you and/or your provider if more information is needed
- Call you to discuss our scheduling process and send you our financial agreement form
- Once your financial agreement form, insurance card, and any other requested records are received, we will call you to schedule a TeleHealth visit

Pediatrics & Genetics
As a parent, watching your child grow and develop is one of the biggest joys of parenting. But there are a lot of factors that can influence a child’s development and health. These factors often create a delicate balance between nature and nurture and can include genetics, family, relationships, experiences, culture, education, nutrition, and much more. Understanding the role that genetics can play in your child’s health and development can support you in making informed decisions about your child’s health care needs.
Cancer & Genetics
A family history of cancer can be scary, but understanding your risk can help. Genetic counseling and testing can help you determine if you or others in your family may have an inherited genetic risk for cancer and guide you through the process of screening and medical management for individuals at higher risk.
If you have a personal and/or family history of cancer, have questions about genetic testing for hereditary cancer predisposition, or have had cancer genetic testing but would like to review the results with a specialist, our genetic support resources can help.
Genetics & Your Health
Genetics plays a powerful role in shaping your health. For certain conditions, genetic testing and counseling can help you better understand the role that genetics plays and empower you with the information you need to manage your health.
Our genetic support resources can help you learn more about how your genetic health can impact your heart, brain, or metabolic functioning or answer other genetic health questions you may have so you can make informed decisions about your health.
