Clinics and Providers

Genetic testing technology changes rapidly, and the number of genetic testing options keeps growing. Helping your patients access expert genetic health support is increasingly important to health care providers.

At GSF, we’re here to help your patients sort through the wealth of information in this new age of genetics and get all the facts they need to make informed decisions about their genetic health care.

Refer Patients to Us

Our team of genetic counselors can provide remote genetic counseling for your patients for many indications, such as questions about preconception or prenatal testing options, hereditary cancer risk, hereditary cardiovascular risk, and direct-to-consumer test (i.e. 23andMe) results, among others. Download our Genetic Counseling Referral Indications to learn more about when to refer your patients for genetic counseling.

It’s simple and easy to refer your patient. Just fill out our Genetic Counseling Referral Fax Form and fax this form along with the relevant medical records and insurance information to 844.813.3892. We’ll then contact the patient to schedule an appointment. We’ll also send you a thorough note documenting the visit.

If genetic testing is recommended, we’ll ensure that the most appropriate testing is being ordered. Once the results are back, we’ll contact the patient to review those results and walk your patient through the information, and your office will get a results summary as well as the next steps we recommend for your patient.

Partner With Us

We partner with clinics and hospitals to provide independent genetic counseling services, primarily through telehealth services. We are able to cover full-time and part-time volumes, as well as long- and short-term needs.

Genetic Support Foundation can work with your organization to uphold best practices with regard to genetics, including ensuring that testing that is ordered is appropriate. GSF’s expert genetic counselors can help your providers navigate the increasingly complex array of genetic testing options and determine which tests are right for your patients.

We provide case reviews for genetic testing requests to ensure that the right test is done for the right patient at the right time, so your practice can provide advanced genetic services accurately and economically.
