As a non-profit, GSF relies on fundraising campaigns to support our projects. Every dollar donated to a specific campaign goes directly to supporting that project, meaning YOU make that work possible.

Flipbook Campaign
One of our goals for 2026 is to create a collection of visual aids to help genetic counselors explain complex genetic information to patients and families.
To better understand what visual aids would be most useful to patients and providers, we sent out a survey to thousands of our newsletter and social media subscribers. Based on their responses, we will be developing Testing Technology flipbook inserts!
Testing Technologies Flipbook
Visual aids to help explain different testing methodologies, such as whole exome sequencing, whole genome sequencing, and somatic vs germline genetic testing.
The GSF flipbook will be available both digitally and in print as inserts for a standard 3-ring binder!
Fundraising Campaign
In order to raise funds to develop this flipbook, we have launched a Flipbook Campaign with a $5,000 target. All funds will support:
- Illustration of visual aids (by an artist, never AI!)
- Expert review of visual aids for accuracy and accessibility
- Printing and shipping costs
Donate to receive free flipbook inserts once we reach our $5,000 fundraising goal and the project is finalized!
- Anyone who donates $100 or more will receive free printed flipbook inserts
- Anyone who donates $50 or more will receive free digital flipbook inserts
- Students who donate $25 will receive free digital flipbook inserts (simply donate using your academic email and add a comment saying that you are a student!)

Genetic testing can help individuals and families receive earlier diagnoses, take proactive steps toward preventative healthcare, and connect with support resources. But testing technologies can be confusing and overwhelming, especially when you're learning about them for the first time.
Thatās why Genetic Support Foundation (GSF) is creating a patient-friendly visual aid āflipbookā to make complex testing options easier to understand. This resource will help genetic counselors clearly explain different testing methods ā from hereditary cancer genetic testing to whole genome sequencing ā so that patients can make informed decisions with confidence.
