FAQ
Navigating all the genetic testing options available to parents during pregnancy can be dizzying and at times overwhelming.
- What tests are available and when?
- Which, if any, should you have?
- What information can each test really tell you?
- Is it information that would be helpful to you before delivery? (If yes, what might you do with the information?)
The decision to undergo, or forego, genetic testing is very personal and best made with accurate up-to-date information. To help you answer these questions, Yale Health has partnered with Genetic Support Foundation (GSF) to provide you and your partner the option to connect one-on-one with a board certified genetic counselor. Visits are covered by the Health Plan.
