Genetic Support Foundation, a charitable nonprofit 501c3, is the result of an idea that our president and founder, Jon Wolff, MD, had been pondering for quite some time. We all have things that drive us, and for some of us even keep us up at night. For Dr. Wolff this dream was creating a nonprofit devoted to genetics. Dr. Wolff also really believes in the value and necessity of genetic counselors and the work they do. This combination of a passion for genetics and advances in the field along with an appreciation for genetic counselors is what led to the formation of Genetic Support Foundation.
When we first sat down to discuss what Genetic Support Foundation might look like, of course we wanted to come up with a logo. Well it turns out our logo really helps tell our story, and was designed with our purpose in mind. Genetic Support Foundation really comes down to three main elements: genetics, decision-making, and you.
To improve the quality of healthcare by providing up-to-date, objective genetic information to patients, providers, and healthcare organizations, supporting those in need of genetic services, and facilitating the adoption of best genetic practices.
